ACE against ‘Greener Fuels Act’ RFS bill

The American Coalition for Ethanol says they will fight two bills in the U.S. House and Senate that would undermine the Renewable Fuel Standard. The bills were introduced Thursday by Congressman Peter Welch of Vermont and Senator Tom Udall of New Mexico, both Democrats.

Coalition CEO Brian Jennings says the so-called “GREENER Fuels Act” would dismantle the RFS which would lead to higher gas prices at the pump and increased greenhouse gas emissions, things the sponsors claim would be helped by the legislation.
