Marcus Theatres' CineLatino Milwaukee Film Festival is going for the gold its second time around — as in, Oscar gold.

The second annual festival celebrating Hispanic culture and tradition, which will run April 11-15 mainly at the Marcus South Shore Cinema in Oak Creek, boasts three of this year's Academy Award winners, including "The Shape of Water," which took home four Oscars Sunday night, including best picture.

Also in the 2018 festival lineup: this year's winner for best foreign-language film, the Chilean drama "Una Mujer Fantastica" ("A Fantastic Woman"); and "Coco," which took home the Oscars for animated feature and original song ("Remember Me").

The festival kicks off April 11 at Marcus' Bistroplex at Southridge, 5210 S. 76th St., Greendale, with the premiere of "Overboard," a remake of the 1987 Goldie Hawn/Kurt Russell comedy starring Mexican star Eugenio Derbez and Anna Faris. Proceeds from the premiere screening benefit the Aurora Cancer Care Spanish Clinic.

"Overboard" had been scheduled for wide release April 13, but that release was later moved to May 4. The movie is still showing to kick off the festival, but it will no longer be screened on the other days of the fest.

Aurora is the presenting sponsor of the CineLatino festival, which is giving half of the proceeds from this year's festival to local Hispanic health and education initiatives.

The CineLatino festival proper includes 13 movies at the South Shore, 7261 S. 13th St., selected to "entertain, inspire and foster cultural understanding," Rolando Rodriguez, chairman, president and CEO of Marcus Theatres, said at a media event Wednesday.

In addition to the movies, this year's festival has handful of outreach events, including a celebration of Tejano music legend Selena (including a screening of the 1997 movie "Selena" starring Jennifer Lopez) April 13; a Cerveceros Tailgate with the Brewers on April 14; and a family fiesta with games and activities April 15.

Some of the movies showing in the festival are in Spanish with English subtitles; others are dubbed in Spanish, with a few, like "The Shape of Water," showing in English with Spanish subtitles.

"The Shape of Water" is part of a two-movie tribute to director Guillermo del Toro, who took home the Oscar for best director for the movie Sunday night. Also showing is del Toro's hauntingly beautiful 2006 fable "Pan's Labyrinth," which itself collected three Oscars.

"Coco" headlines a collection of family- and budget-friendly movies, including fellow animated Oscar nominee "Ferdinand"; "Condorito: La Película" ("Condorito: The Movie"), based on the long-running Latin comic strip; and "Tesoros," a children's adventure tale set on the Mexican Pacific Coast. These four movies have a $7.50 ticket price.
