Community Focus Group and Global Giving Girl Matching Fund Campaign

Community Focus Group (CFG) was founded and registered in 2000 and began providing School Uniforms, Books, and Feeding Orphaned and Vulnerable Children from communities in Kayole and Sowerto in Nairobi, Kenya. CFG has in the past years worked in making a difference in the societies Advocating for Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights, in the process creating Awareness on the Barriers that hinder Freedom and Development Opportunities in our Society using Performance Arts.

Recently we began a Project, The 100 Girls Project, to Train 100 Young Women each year in Kayole, Nairobi County, Kenya who Dropped Out of School because of Pregnancy. We hope to give a Young Woman the Opportunity to acquire the Skills needed to forge a Sustainable livelihood for themselves and their Families.

As CFG we see Community Service as the Key element to our Future. We believe that each Person should leave the World a little better then how they found it.

From March 1st to March 15th, GlobalGiving has selected CFG for one of their Fundraising Matching Donations Program.
