Police have identified the man who was fatally shot early Sunday morning in the parking lot of a south Phoenix strip club and are still searching for the gunman.

Police identified the man, who died at a hospital, as 44-year-old David Sandoval.

The shooting happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday, according to Sgt. Jonathan Howard, a Phoenix police spokesman.

A fight had broken out inside T&A Cabaret, on Central Avenue near Broadway Road, Howard said. After security took several people outside, the gunman fired multiple shots before fleeing, he said.

The gunman also injured another man and a woman, Howard said. The injured man was in serious but stable condition Sunday, and the woman's injury was minor.

The shooter was described as a man in his 20s or 30s and was last seen wearing a green sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Police urge anyone with information on the shooter to call Silent Witness at 480-948-6377 or the Phoenix Police Department at 602-262-6151.
