Milwaukee man fatally hit by county bus on W. Wisconsin Ave.

The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a Milwaukee County Transit System bus early Sunday, according to a news release. 

Police said a 53-year-old man was hit in the 3500 block of W. Wisconsin Ave. around 12:05 a.m. Sunday. He sustained serious injuries and did not survive. The release said the Milwaukee man was struck by the county bus while in the street.

The bus driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the department, according to the release.
