Hearing March 21 on old dicamba, 2-4D products
The Missouri Agriculture Department will hold a public hearing next month on the possible emergency rule on OLD dicamba herbicide applications prohibiting their sale. Ag Director Chris Chinn explains, “The emergency rule would prohibit the sale of certain OLDER technology formulations of dicamba and 2-4D products after April 15th and before October 1. Only products that meet specific conditions as outlined in both rules will be affected.”
The public hearing is set for March 21st. Chinn tells Brownfield the department hopes that restrictions on old dicamba products and the new restrictions on the newer dicamba herbicide formulations will decrease the amount of drift damage this year.
