Milwaukee folk rock group Field Report opened for Bon Iver at a sold-out BMO Harris Bradley Center Saturday.

Saturday was a really big day for Milwaukee band Field Report.

Christopher Porterfield's folk-rock band played for the biggest audience of its career that night in its hometown, opening for Bon Iver at a sold-out BMO Harris Bradley Center. (Porterfield and Vernon used to be bandmates in pre-Bon Iver band DeYarmond Edison. The two also jammed together at a private party at Mad Planet Thursday.)

But about 12 hours before Field Report opened that arena show, the band — also featuring Barry Clark on bass, Devin Drobka on drums and Thomas Wincek on synthesizers — made its national television debut on "CBS This Morning." Like the Bradley set, the CBS appearance exclusively featured songs from Field Report's third album, "Summertime Songs," out March 23 on Verve.
