Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne Review

Two posts in one day, oh how I spoil you.

I tried, I really did.

Could there really be a more fitting day to share a few thoughts on the truly beautiful, Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne? I don't think so.

Roses are one of my favourite blooms and although they are heavily pushed in mid-February for the main event (by tomorrow they'll be slashed in price - I'll see you at the checkout, fellow bargain hunters) it is a scent that can and should be enjoyed all year around. If any rose based fragrance is worthy of a place in your stash it is Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne, in my humble opinion it is the best stand alone, Rose scent around: pure, classic and sophisticated.

What sets this apart from your typical rose scent is the complexity of notes, which include a combination of seven of the world's most exquisite roses blended with crushed violet leaves and a hint of lemon. It's fresh yet deep and not at all powdery nor dated. It's light, it's floral and is romantic and probably your new favourite in the making. As this is a Jo Malone concoction, it layers well with other fragrances adding depth and complexity to your favourite scents (Jo Malone or otherwise, today I've teamed it with Gucci Bloom to add a little of Cupid's magic to my everyday perfume choice).

Fun fact, I buy myself a Valentine's Day gift every year. Hey I'm not going to let being single get in the way of celebrating of a made up holiday, heck no - not this gal. To be honest, I'd celebrate the fact it is Wednesday if I could get away with it. Basically I'm all about the treat yourself life and if you have been looking for an occasion (aka excuse) to purchase Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne (or any product within the line) then take this as your universal sign.
