Sparkling Pink Limeade with Champagne Cotton Candy is a fun and festive cocktail to make for Valentine’s Day!

I used to not understand pink.

The color that is.

I have a vivid memory of my mother dressing me up in a pink dress complete with ruffles and lace. I was six at the time and we were going to Easter Sunday mass. I must have blacked out while putting on said dress because all I remember is sitting in the church pew scratching.

Every time I would sit or stand in that ruffled pink explosion I would start to itch and continue down a patch of endless scratching. If I could have ripped that dress off and stood their in my Little Pony unmentionables, I would have.

It was at this point in my clothing career where I made a conscious decision that I am severely allergic to the color pink. So, I banished it from my attire at the ripe old age of six. Never to be worn until, well, I still have trust issues with pink but they are getting better. And what better way to bring back pink into the circle of love than with a cocktail.

May I introduce you to the pink themed must have for this Valentine’s Day: Sparkling Pink Limeade with Champagne Cotton Candy. Isn’t she a beaut? She is almost to pretty to drink. Almost. This cocktail is just a festive drink you could certainly make all year around. BUT! I highly suggest making it for that special someone on Valentine’s Day.

All it takes are two ingredients: bubbles and pink or cherry limeade. Mix together and garnish with my new obsession champagne cotton candy. I found a bucket at Target and had to have it. Seriously, is it not the most festive, love-themed drink ever? Thought so.
