Two men killed in Rock County crash identified

Two Beloit men killed in a traffic crash in Rock County were identified by the medical examiner's office Monday as Cecilio Rodriguez Jr., 26, and Hesham M. Abdelrahim, 26.

The crash occurred shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday on southbound I-43 at mile marker 6 near Clinton, the Wisconsin State Patrol said.

The two men were in a pickup truck that struck the trailer of a semi that overturned after striking an SUV shortly before, according to a news release.

Another occupant of the pickup truck was critically injured and three people in the SUV were seriously injured in the first crash, the State Patrol said.

The crashes remained under investigation Monday.
