Police search for suspects in shooting of 13-year-old boy inside Milwaukee residence

A 13-year-old boy was shot early Friday inside a Milwaukee residence, police said.

The teen was shot about 4:40 a.m. in the 4700 block of N. 40th St. and was taken to the 1300 block of W. Ring St. before paramedics took him by ambulance to the hospital, according to Milwaukee police. 

His injuries are not life-threatening, authorities said.

Milwaukee police are investigating the circumstances of the shooting and searching for suspects.

The boy is the second teen to be wounded in a shooting in Milwaukee in recent days. A 17-year-old was dropped off at a hospital Thursday with a gunshot wound and is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
