Pointshound Double Up program adds Club Carlson, Wyndham Rewards

I’ve written once or twice before about the Pointshound hotel booking platform which lets you earn airline points for your bookings. I’m a big fan of the relatively young company (they’re just over a year old now), mostly because I don’t really love hotel loyalty programs, but also because Pointshound managed to come up with a way to allow customers to earn points in their hotel loyalty program via the “Double Up” booking platform. That’s pretty much the best of both worlds, allowing for earning points and status benefits in hotel programs and also bonus airline points. What’s not to love? Well, for starters, the Pointshound Double Up booking options are a bit limited. Fortunately those limits dropped a bit this weekend with the inclusion of Club Carlson and Wyndham Rewards properties in the Double Up program.

Another nice (relatively) new feature that Pointshound has added to the site is that you can now filter your search results to show only hotels with Double Up earning options.

So not only are there more hotels available for the Double Up earning but they’re now also easier to find in the search results.

Finally, to celebrate the new partnerships Pointshound has also increased their partner sign-up bonus points promotion so first-time bookings through the end of 2013 will receive 1,000 bonus points through the referral link.

All told, a lot of good news for hotel bookings.
