UW football players to compete in all-star games

Badgers defensive end Alec James hopes to boost his stock in the NFL draft by playing in the East-West Shrine Classic Saturday.

Wisconsin defensive end Alec James is among four Badgers who were selected to play in the East-West Shrine Classic on Saturday in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Outside linebacker Leon Jacobs, safety Natrell Jamerson will be joining James on the West squad. Defensive end Conor Sheehy was picked but will not play because of an arm injury.

In addition, UW fullback Austin Ramesh will play for the American team in the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl on Saturday in Carson, Calif.
