A Bonita Springs woman faces a grand theft charge after police arrested her as a shoplifting suspect at a Cape Coral department store.

Liudeibys Jimenez Silva, 23, was arrested at the Kohl's Department Store on Pine Island Road after being caught by store employees  with more than $800 of stolen goods shortly after 5 p.m. on Saturday.

A report from the Cape Coral police said Kohl's security had stopped Silva after they watched her selecting several pieces of jewelry, clothing, and sandals which she then brought into the fitting room and restroom, shedding tags from the items before concealing them in her purse.

The report said Silva then left the store without paying for the items

Silva, released on $5,000 bond Sunday, will be arraigned Feb. 12.
