Ladies and gentlemen, Andrea...

Hello, again! I'm so happy to be back with you today to share more of my favorite things! Have you seen the hashtag "madforplaid"? Well, that could have been written for me because plaid is hands-down my favorite pattern: It's just so cozy and inviting! 'Want to know what else I love? Pink! (the color, not the artist ;) ) With stencils from Winnie & Walter, I can make any color, any style of plaid I desire and that makes me one happy girl.

The background for my first card was created with Scenery: Buffalo Check and Ticking Stripe Creative Screenings. Using the Buffalo Check stencil, I inked up some pink paper with Black Soot Distress Oxide ink (I first tried it with the same color of distress ink, but it didn't give me the coverage I wanted). I heat-set that to prevent smearing the ink and then inked up the Ticking Stripe stencil with white pigment ink. To achieve the thin stripe, I masked off the two wide stripes surrounding it with post-it tape and moved the stencil around on the paper. I did this both horizontally and vertically.

My focal image is from the Warm Wishes to You set (will be available for purchase in our next release). Using my MISTI, I stamped it multiple times with black ink to get a good impression. The set comes with a stamp for the inside of the cup, but I didn't have ink that matched the pink of my background. Instead, I colored the inside with my Copics. I silver heat-embossed "warm wishes" before fussy cutting the mug.

I trimmed my background to slightly smaller than A2-size and adhered it to a black card. I twisted some silver twine onto a die-cut vellum circle and popped up my mug on top with foam tape, which holds the twine in place. After gluing the circle to my card, I added some glitter hearts die-cut with the Tagged: Holiday Cheer Cutaways.

My second card uses the Scenery: Rugby Stripe and Ticking Stripe Creative Screenings. I applied a light pink over the Rugby Stripe stencil horizontally and then rotated it to apply the same shade vertically. Again, I achieved the thin line by masking the wider stripes on the Ticking Stripe stencil and moving the stencil around the page. I trimmed the panel down and adhered it to a white card.

To create my sentiment, I die-cut the In a Word: Holiday Tiles Cutaways twice - once from pink cardstock and another from white. The sentiment is from Sending You with Evelin T. Designs. I stamped "sending you" first with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat-embossed it. Next, I stamped the companion sentiment with the same ink. I popped up both pieces with foam tape.

Doesn't that snowman look like he's ready to give a big hug? I just love him! He's from Season's Tweetings with Evelin T. Designs. I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored him with Copics, and cut him out. I added some white highlights with a gel pen before coating him with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay. I adhered him with foam tape, placing two layers under his body, and finished the card with some pink enamel hearts from my stash.
