Deputies arrest suspected thief of Michael Kors store

Deputies from the Camarillo Police Department arrested an Oxnard man suspected of stealing high-end bags from the Camarillo Outlet mall last week, authorities said Friday.

Raymond Quintana, 40, of Oxnard, was arrested Saturday on suspicion of committing grand theft from a Camarillo Michael Kors outlet Jan. 4.

On Jan. 4, the suspect entered the Michael Kors outlet, located at 910 Camarillo Center Drive, and stole property valued at $1,660, according to police.

A witness reported the theft to police and an investigation was launched into the incident. Evidence gathered during the investigation revealed the suspect was Raymond Quintana, 40, of Oxnard, authorities said. According to police, Quintana is an active gang member in Oxnard.

On Jan. 6, police found Quintana and took him into custody on suspicion of grand theft. Officers recovered the stolen merchandise after a search of Quintana's vehicle, police said.
