Simone Biles reveals Raisman's body image message

Charles Curtis
USA TODAY

Gymnasts Simone Biles and Aly Raisman continue to be role models for women everywhere in their quest to battle body shaming.

Biles revealed to TodayStyles what she's endured over the years with her muscular body (she was called a "swoldier") and what healthy body image should mean.

She also revealed what her teammate Raisman taught her that's helped her love herself:

"I would actually say Aly Raisman helped me a lot with my body confidence issues, and she's taught me a lot along the way, but most of the time it's just like: Love yourself, it doesn't matter if you don't want to wear makeup that day, if you don't want to do your hair that day. You're human too, so do what you like."
