Two in custody after police chase through Franklin County

ANTRIM TOWNSHIP - Two people were in custody Tuesday evening after a police chase earlier in the day.  

State police were at Frank Road in Antrim Township after a vehicle ran down an embankment and crashed. Police were reportedly pursuing the vehicle, involved in a theft.

Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg, said the incident began as a forgery/prescription fraud incident at CVS Pharmacy, 701 East King Street, Shippensburg Township in Cumberland County. Police list the incident as occurring from around 1:53 p.m. until 3 p.m.

Two people, not identified by police, fled south on Interstate 81, according to the release. PSP Carlisle and PSP Harrisburg units pursued them into the area of Frank Road, and Pa. 11 in Antrim Township.

At the scene, a car could be seen in an embankment, with state police troopers and other law enforcement present.

State police said the suspects are in custody and there were no injuries to the public.

As of Tuesday evening, no charges were filed in the case.
