New Year's Eve 2018 countdown specials: What to watch and how to watch it

The frigid temps in parts of the country mean many may opt to stay in this New Year's Eve.

If that's your plan, we've got you covered. Here are all of the shows counting down to 2018.  

Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest on ABC

Details: Seacrest will be joined by Jenny McCarthy from New York's Times Square. Ciara will ring in the New Year from the West Coast as the new host of the Hollywood Party. Lucy Hale will host the countdown celebration from New Orleans, where Imagine Dragons is slated to perform from the Allstate Fan Fest, and Walk the Moon perform at midnight.

Time: Live starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT

Performers: In New York: Mariah Carey returns to perform after botching last year's effort. Other performers include: Camila Cabello, Nick Jonas and Sugarland.

In Los Angeles: Kane Brown, BTS, Kelly Clarkson, Fitz & The Tantrums, Florida Georgia Line, Halsey, Khalid, Shawn Mendes, Charlie Puth, Portugal. The Man and Hailee Steinfeld.

In Las Vegas:  Britney Spears will perform from The AXIS at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Fox New Year's Eve with Steve Harvey

Details: Live from Times Square

Time: Live starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT

Performers: Andra Day, Maroon 5, Celine Dion, Backstreet Boys, 
Macklemore featuring Skylar Grey, Flo Rida, Zac Brown Band and Neil Diamond. 

Bonus: Appearance by celebrity guest Rob Riggle and a special surprise from Jamie Foxx.

CNN's New Year's Eve Live with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen

Details: Cohen fills Kathy Griffin's spot as co-host after Griffin was ousted after she posted a controversial Donald Trump photo.

Time: Live from Times Square starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT

FOX News Channel All-American New Year

Details: Fox News' Ed Henry and Lisa Boothe and actor Dean Cain will kick off the festivities with a two-hour special Countdown to 2018 at 8 p.m. ET.  At 10 p.m. ET All-American New Year will be co-hosted by Fox News/Fox Business personalities Lisa “Kennedy” Montgomery and Jesse Watters from Times Square.

Time: 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT

Performers: Andy Grammer and country music star Lauren Alaina.

New York Philharmonic New Year's Eve

Details: Presented as part of Live from Lincoln Center on PBS stations 

Time: Check local PBS listings

Performers: This program will showcase members of the New York Philharmonic in a selection of Leonard Bernstein’s works for the Broadway stage along with appearances from special guests.
