Weekend storm brings four inches of snow in parts of York County

Snow is still coming down this morning in York County. On Friday, the National Weather Service predicted snow Friday night into Saturday, with accumulations totaling from half-an-inch to 2 inches.

There is a winter weather advisory in effect from 3 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday. 

The prediction was included in a hazardous weather outlook for Adams, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Lebanon, Lancaster, York and 21 other counties. The snow may lead to "slippery roads and travel delays prior to New Year's Eve," the outlook says.

The Weather Service is also predicting the region's cold snap to continue through Tuesdays. It predicts subzero wind chills will be likely.

Other forecasters are predicting similar snowfall totals.

Accuweather's most common forecast in the Central Pa. region is "a coating to an inch" between Friday and Saturday, with some regions also seeing a high likelihood of 1-3 inches in their forecasts. 

The Weather Channel predicts less than one inch of snow on Saturday for much of central Pennsylvania, but it predicts some areas could see 3 inches.
