An East Naples man who was high on acid, running through yards and wading up to his neck in a neighborhood pond was arrested Saturday after he was accused of fighting with Collier County deputies.

Deputies said they repeatedly shocked Sebastian Cuesta with a stun gun to control and arrest him.

Cuesta, 21, of the 200 block of Manor Boulevard, faces felony charges of battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting an officer with violence.

Around 5:30 p.m., deputies were called to a home on Plantation Circle where a man, later identified as Cuesta, was running through people’s yards, yelling and not making sense. When deputies arrived, Cuesta was in a pond up to his neck, bobbing up and down and writhing, according to an arrest report.

When Cuesta approached the side of the pond, a deputy grabbed his arm. Cuesta punched the deputy in the head and began fighting with other deputies, reports said.

One of the deputies deployed his stun gun, but Cuesta continued to fight. The deputy then deployed his stun gun three full cycles before the other deputies could handcuff Cuesta, who was taken to NCH Baker Hospital Downtown, where he continued to fight and yell at hospital staff.

Cuesta told hospital staff he had dropped acid, reports said.
