WAYNESBORO - A second person was charged this week in connection with the overdose death earlier this year of Waynesboro woman Holly White.

Andrea Nichole Hintermyer, 30, was charged with felony drug delivery and criminal use of a communication facility, according to online court documents.

The story of White's overdose was first shared in November, when Dale Andrew Daywalt, 31, was charged with felony death by drug delivery in the same case.

White is believed to have been with three other people the day before she overdosed in February, a woman and two men including Daywalt. Hintermyer was identified as the second woman in court documents filed at Magisterial District Judge Larry Pentz' office.

Hintermyer told police that she ran into Daywalt on the way to meet White and the other man in a store, and that Daywalt contacted his connection to the drugs, according to court documents. The group drove to Valley Mall in Hagerstown, Maryland, where they spent $100 and bought four baggies of heroin.

They all took a hit, and the second man in the car overdosed while everyone was present, according to court documents. Hintermyer told police she stayed behind while White and Daywalt left the scene of the overdose.

According to court documents, White was found by her husband the next day, having overdosed in the kitchen of their West Main Street apartment. It is unclear in court documents how much time passed between the purchase of the heroin with Hintermyer and the others and White's overdose.

Hintermyer claimed after the overdose, she did not have any contact with anyone involved in the incident, other than texts from the man who overdosed but survived.

Hintermyer was able to help police track down Daywalt, whom she referred to as "Drew" during the police interviews.

Phone records obtained by police show White talking with the second man about wanting to find drugs, according to court documents. The records also show conversations between the man and Hintermyer, referring to Hintermyer being "sick" and asking if the man could "get her well," according to court documents.

The final messages between Hintermyer and the man include them figuring out where and when to pick Hintermyer up, and how much they were going to spend, according to court documents.

White's death was ruled as an overdose caused by mixed substance toxicity, with fentanyl and tramadol present in her blood.
