Charlton Warren, a former Vols assistant under Butch Jones, added to Dan Mullen's staff at Florida

Vols special teams coordinator and defensive backs coach Charlton Warren calls during the Orange & White Game at Neyland Stadium on April 22, 2017.

Another member of Butch Jones' final coaching staff at Tennessee has resurfaced elsewhere in the SEC.

Florida coach Dan Mullen announced Friday he's added Charlton Warren to his staff. Florida didn't specify Warren's role, but it's expected to be one similar to what he had at Tennessee in 2017. Warren coached defensive backs and special teams for the Vols.

Warren joins former UT defensive coordinator Bob Shoop as members of Jones' final staff to find jobs elsewhere in the SEC. Shoop was hired as Mississippi State's defensive coordinator. Tennessee's running backs coach Robert Gillespie was the only assistant from Jones' staff that Jeremy Pruitt retained.

Warren came to UT this year after two seasons as the defensive backs coach at North Carolina.

"Really enjoyed my time here at RockyTop!" Warren wrote on Twitter on Friday. "Want to wish all the players nothing but success in the future, and I appreciate getting a chance to coach and mentor the #Savages this season. Best of luck fellas!"

The Vols' passing defense ranked second in the SEC in yards allowed per game (161.7) in 2017, and opponents completed just 55.2 percent of their passes.

Along with Warren and Shoop, Mike Canales is another member of Jones' final staff to be hired elsewhere. Canales, who was UT's quarterbacks coach, will serve as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Texas-El Paso.
