Disney World is constantly updating and sometimes changing attractions and other aspects of the parks. Below are 3 confirmed changes coming to Disney World for 2018.
1. Pirates of the Caribbean Refurbishment
As previously announced, Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom will undergo a refurbishment. The Mercado auction is getting an overhaul. The famous red head pictured above will reappear, however, with a new role. No longer will the auction host a “wench for a bride”. She will instead help with the “unloading” of “valuables” for the townspeople, such as animals.
As a result, Pirates of the Caribbean at Magic Kingdom will close for refurbishment, from February 26 through March 18, 2018.
2. Animal Kingdom’s New Show Features UP Characters
The new show will feature characters from Disney- Pixar’s UP, Russell and Dug, replacing Flights of Wonder, and will still feature birds! Discover different species of birds from around the world with Russell & Dug. Flights of Wonder’s last show is on December 31, 2017.
