Hyatt Hotels will have its first presence in Austria when Park Hyatt Vienna opens in June 2014. The Park Hyatt hotel will occupy the 100-year old building and former headquarters of Bank Austria Creditanstalt in Vienna’s First District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
This area of Vienna is also the premier shopping district of Kohlmarkt.
The Park Hyatt Vienna will have some of the largest rooms in Vienna, ranging in size from 40 sq m to 170 sq m. The 143 guest rooms includes 35 suites.
The hotel features a spa, fitness room and indoor swimming pool.
Park Hyatt Vienna was announced on Milepoint.com in August 2011 with a 2013 opening date. Looks like they missed that target date, but I expect the wait will be worth it.
Looks like summer 2014 will have a new cultural destination city in the minds of Hyatt Gold Passport members.
