Homicide victim identified by Milwaukee police

A man who was shot to death on the north side was identified by police Thursday as Kevin M. Windom, 42.

An assailant approached Windom and shot him shortly after 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of N. 24th St., police said.

In a separate shooting, a 30-year-old man was seriously wounded shortly before 9 p.m. Wednesday in the 2600 block of N. 52nd St, police said.

The man was taken to a hospital, according to police, who were seeking suspects in both shootings Thursday.
