Police log: Package theft discovered 12 days later

SHIPPENSBURG - The intended recipient of a package discovered it had likely been stolen soon after it was delivered two weeks earlier when she received an email from the company asking how she liked the product, according to Shippensburg Police. 

The package containing a pair of white Ralph Lauren Polo sneakers in size 10.5, valued at $37, had been delivered on Nov. 29 to a residence in the 100 block of East Burd Street, Shippensburg. Police received the report of the suspected theft on Dec. 11.

BURGLARY: Someone entered a home in the 4000 block of White Church Road, Greene Township, sometime between 7 and 9:30 p.m. Dec. 11 and stole several items, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg.

STOLEN VEHICLE: A vehicle was stolen from a residence in the 10000 block of Thornwood Drive, Southampton Township, overnight between Dec. 3-4, according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg. Police said charges are pending.

ID THEFT: Someone used a Chambersburg man's personal information to open a fraudulent Kohl's charge account, and charged $550 in purchases to it,  according to Pennsylvania State Police, Chambersburg. THEFT FROM VEHICLE: Chambersburg Police responded to 1490 Nitterhouse Drive on Dec. 11, where a woman reported that sometime between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. that day, someone broke out her passenger-side window and stole her black purse which contained identification and bank cards. THEFT FROM VEHICLE: A speaker valued at $60 and $130 in cash were stolen from from a truck while it was parked in the area of Baker and Russell drives in Shippensburg on Dec. 12, possibly sometime between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., according to Shippensburg Police. The victim said the truck had been locked but the thieves may have made entry through the back sliding window, as the latch was broken.
