The United Performing Arts Fund raised more than $12.32 million for local performing arts groups, including the Milwaukee Symphony, during its 50th anniversary campaign.

The United Performing Arts Fund celebrated a record-breaking total of $12,320,160 raised for local performing arts during its annual meeting Tuesday at the Broadway Theatre Center.

That total is even higher than what UPAF announced in June at the end of its 50th anniversary campaign, thanks to gifts received before the close of its fiscal year in August.

UPAF raised $12,163,486 during its 2016 campaign, the previous record.
