Description
Why us:
SureSwift Capital is a fast-growing venture capital firm that buys web-based businesses. We’re an entirely remote company that offers flexible deadline; as long as you’re meeting your deadlines with quality work - we don’t care when or how you work. So if you’re interested in a flexible, rewarding, and fast-paced career opportunity, please read on.
Who we want:
- A fluent English speaker - preferably native - with a solid understanding of grammar, styling, and fantastic content.
- Someone who doesn’t need someone proofreading their work because they re-read their writing 15 times over.
- A writer who is capable of writing in the present tense 90% of the time.
- Detail and deadline-oriented professional who is passionate about their expertise and eager to share their knowledge with our audience.
- Has the availability to deliver at least two articles per month.
- Preferably understands the APA and Oxford style guide.
What we have:
- Coding: We’re looking for writers who have experience with jQuery, Python, and/or CSS.
- Design: Web or graphic design experience is preferred, but we’re willing to work with writers who know how to write design how-to’s without any hands-on design experience.
- Description writing: If you’re a product description-writing whizz, you’ll be perfect.
- Food: We’re looking for someone who has experience writing in the food industry.
- Software: Specifically someone who has experience writing about network management and other tech-heavy subjects.
- Consumer-facing tech: If you love writing about apps, hardware, or a light-hearted tech how-to, we want to hear from you.
- Law: Write about everything from divorce to finding criminals in jail. (Lawyers with relevant credentials are preferred).
- Pregnancy: medical professionals with relevant credentials are preferred, but we’re willing to work with non-medical professionals on lighter topics so long as you have experience writing in the health niche.
- Beauty: We’re looking for fantastic beauty bloggers who crush on Instagram almost daily. If you’re comfortable writing beauty articles for all ages, races, and genders, we’d love to hear from you.
- Editing: Do you have an eye for details and a dictator-like grip on grammar? Did you spot the five errors in this job posting that Grammarly didn’t even catch? If so, apply now.
How to apply:
Writers: Please send your resume to [email protected], with the subject line “Application for [insert whatever your niche would be]” – but obviously replace the brackets with your niche – and include a short paragraph about who you are and why this opportunity excites you.
Editors: Please send your resume to [email protected], with the subject line “Application for editor” and include the five errors that are in the above job posting.
