A Milwaukee woman charged in the horrific beating of her 10-year-old son that was video recorded and posted on Facebook was sentenced to two years in prison Tuesday.

Jealissa McKinney-Williams, 29, was also sentenced to three years of extended supervision for the January beating that was recorded by her sister, according to state court records and a criminal complaint.

McKinney-Williams pleaded not guilty when she was charged March 7 with two counts of felony child abuse and obstructing an officer.

She was found not guilty of one child abuse count, according to court records.

The video shows the boy naked from the waist down, screaming and pleading for mercy as McKinney-Williams repeatedly strikes him with such force that he falls to the floor as she berates him with obscenities, vulgarities and invectives, according to the complaint.

She was accused in the complaint of striking the boy about 40 times while sitting on his back with her leg over his head during the one-minute, 48-second video.

Aashley L. McKinney-Williams, 27, was charged May 2 with felony child abuse-party to a crime and obstructing an officer for allegedly video-recording the incident and lying to police about the case.

Another sister, Ebonnee Lanelle McKinney-Williams, 31, is charged with obstructing an officer in connection with the incident.

The court entered a not-guilty plea on her behalf and jury trials for both sisters are scheduled for January, according to state court records.
