Free Lumpy Sue Acoustic Musicfest on Black Friday

lumpy-sue-music-festivalThis event was cancelled for 2017 because of storm damage to the park and will return in 2018.

One of South Florida's great Black Friday traditions is the Lumpy Sue Acoustic Musicfest, a free concert held the Friday after Thanksgiving at Greynolds Parks in North Miami Beach. Instead of fighting the Black Friday crowds at the mall, you can join with a much smaller group to enjoy some great free music.

You might even score a few gifts during a raffle of gift certificates and other items donated by local businesses. Proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity.

The all-day even starts at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 25, with open mike performances until 11:30 a.m. The headliners perform from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Here's the tentative lineup of performers:

The event is at Greynolds Park, 17530 W Dixie Highway, North Miami Beach. While admission to the festival is free, parking is $7 per car and $15 per truck or RV. Bring your own blankets and chairs.
