With the Christmas Holidays rapidly approaching, officials with the R.D. and Joan Dale Hubbard Foundation would like to help ensure more families in Ruidoso and Lincoln County are able to enjoy their holidays.

Three volunteers wrap packages at Santa's Helpers.

To help make this a reality, Robert Donaldson, executive director of the Hubbard Foundation, announced a $3,000 grant for “Santa’s Helpers” and a $2,500 grant for “Toys for Tots.”

”We have worked with “Santa’s Helpers” for many years,” he said. “This year, we have added support for ‘Toys for Tots’ so as these organizations work with each other, their groups, volunteers and supporters they can make an even larger impact  in supporting needy families in Ruidoso and Lincoln County.

“So as many families from all over the country come to Ruidoso to spend and enjoy their holidays, it may well be the nicest time of our year, we just want to make sure that the people that live and work here also get to enjoy their holidays as well.”

He specifically thanked Eric Collins of “Santa’s Helpers” and Victor Montes of “Toys for Tots” for the work they and their volunteer staffs did this year.

“Mr. and Mrs. Hubbard are just so pleased to be able to continue to help the community they call home,” Donaldson said.
