The three-story Grain Exchange room will be the site of Dickens dinners. It's in the Mackie Building at 225 E. Michigan St.

After seeing “A Christmas Carol” in the afternoon on Dec. 22 and 23, playgoers can experience a Dickens dinner at the Grain Exchange downtown.

The 2 p.m. matinee performances of Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas story take place at the Pabst Theater, 144 E. Wells St. The play ends about 4:30.

At 6 p.m., the dinners by Bartolotta Catering will begin in the historical Grain Exchange, 225 E. Michigan St.

Carolers will provide entertainment at the three-course dinners, which include a salad, prime rib and cherry chocolate bread pudding. Dinners also include unlimited beer, wine and soda; a cash bar will be available.

Each attendee also will receive a commemorative Christmas ornament.

Tickets are $95 for diners 13 and older, and $45 for children 12 and younger. The price includes tax and tip.

Reserve seats at the dinner by going to bartolottas.com/events or by calling (414) 727-6980.

Tickets to the play must be bought separately; prices start at $40, or $35 for seniors and $20 for students. They're available at milwaukeerep.com.
