My children love to create things and I am more than happen to spend time with them, so when my son asked if we could make something, I grabbed out my “kid craft supplies” and we got to making. After a little brainstorming we decided to make a raft, which ended up turning into the perfect little Popsicle Stick Boat for Legos. And it really floats! Since I’ve been blogging most of my younger children’s lives, he asked if I wanted to photograph our project. I agreed and together we wrote up this tutorial so you can create with your children!

Trim the edge off one side of two popsicle sticks to create the mast. Optional: Cut the opposite ends of the mast beams at an angle to match the sail.

Hot glue the felt between the two mast beams. Hot glue the beams to the deck of the boat.

Embellish the boat as desired. We used a button for the wheel and some Lego pieces.

The Popsicle Boat is ready to set sail! And it even floats – in cold water. Do not use hot water, as it can melt the hot glue and your boat will fall apart.
