Tony Stewart raced last year at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie last season and will bring his All Star Circuit of Champions series and a MAVTV crew along in 2018.

The two Wisconsin races on the 2018 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions schedule start the sprint-car series’ limited run on MAVTV next September and October.

Both are All Star / IRA co-sanctioned events, May 19 at the Plymouth Dirt Track at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds and May 20 at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie.

Plymouth is scheduled to air for the first time at 7 p.m. Sept. 2 with a repeat at 10 p.m. Angell Park follows the same schedule one week later.

In all, eight events are planned for multiple broadcasts on MAVTV, which is owned by Lucas Oil and has a heavy motors sports component to its programming.

“Gaining a television audience and raising the potential for new viewers is an important piece of the overall puzzle,” series owner Tony Stewart said in the announcement Friday. “Our goal is to gain valuable exposure to our race teams, as well as series partners and supporters. … It takes a lot of work and dedication to bring something like this to life."

The broadcast team will include Dave Reiff, color commentator Brad Doty and pit reporter Dave Argabright.

MAVTV is Channel 1340 on Spectrum cable gold tier in the Milwaukee area and 214 on DIRECTV.
