    I hate that so many contests are on Facebook. But I refuse to join, so my loss. Thanks for your posting I read your blog every day!

  • Andy November 20, 2013

    I hate to see so many FB contests where FB is blocked at work.

  • Ben Senise November 20, 2013

    I too hate facebook and hate the fact that SPG use them for contests without an alternative method of participating. It really creates a bad feeling towards Starwood that they don’t want me to engage.

    Please people, can’t you find a better word, or words, to use than HATE. You hate this, you hate that. How about you detest something, or you really dislike something, but hate is such a strong word, and there’s already so much of it in the world.

    I too have yet to sign up for facebook. Probably never will as I’ve never even tried friendster, xanga, myspace…

    I am in agreement with all the Facebook dislikers.

    Several years ago, maybe 2008, I heard an article on NPR about how advanced mathematical models were being used to connect associations of people and track them in the war on terror.

    That always struck me as the model for Facebook. Instead of tracking terrorists, marketers use Facebook to track potential customers.

    Guys,
    isn’t it complaining on a high comfort level?
    I mean, join Facebook if you want to participate, don’t if you want to.
    I’m from Europe, we’re not even allowed to participate… this is something I hate about the SPG Sweepstakes 🙁

    Holy moly, I won a 3 night stay at the Westin San Antonio on their Facebook game! Wow, while this is very cool, I don’t have any plans to go to San Antonio…anyone have any ideas how I could trade this with someone else or something? 🙂

  • Ric Garrido December 2, 2013

    @Kelly O- Congratulations.

    Is the stay transferable?

  • Kelly I December 2, 2013

    I have to submit my Starwood number and name by the 6th, so I could give them anyone’s info, I suppose. So I think that makes it transferable (before the 6th). Know anyone who wants it?
