I spoke to the corporate headquarters of Southwest to clarify whether hotel points transferred to Southwest count toward the 110,000 required for a free companion pass and was told that they DO NOT COUNT.
@Bob that is simply incorrect, both because the universal experience has been that the bonus has always counted and also because the terms and conditions of the program were recently changed to clarify that they do count.
