Southbound I-43 at Capitol Drive reopened

All southbound lanes of I-43 at Capitol Drive have been reopened after being closed Friday afternoon by the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office, officials said Friday afternoon.

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation was notified by the sheriff's office of the closure shortly before 4:30 p.m. and reported that the lanes were reopened shortly after 5 p.m., according to the DOT.

No information on the reason for the closure was available Friday afternoon.
