Greenfield police are warning drivers to avoid S. 76th St. and W. Layton Ave. after a rollover crash at the intersection Friday morning.

The intersection was closed shortly before 11 a.m. and reopened shortly after 12:30 p.m. with Greenfield police still assisting with traffic control.

The crash reportedly was linked to power outages inside some stores on N. 76th St. and outages of nearby traffic lights.

The area is home to many retail outlets, including the Southridge Mall and Spring Mall Shopping Center.

One of the affected stores was Best Buy where shoppers used their cellphones to light their way out of the store, while others continued waiting in line for their Black Friday deals, according to Delaney Brey, a sports reporters for WTMJ-TV (Channel 4).
