A 25-year-old man has been arrested in a shooting that killed two men early Friday outside of a bar in Twin Lakes, police said.

Twin Lakes police received a report of a shooting outside Beach Bar, 402 S. Lake St., about 2 a.m. and arrived to find a 28-year-old man dead and a 31-year-old man seriously wounded, according to a news release.

The wounded man was taken to Burlington Hospital where he later died, police said.

The suspected shooter fled before police arrived, but witnesses identified him as a 25-year-old man from Trevor.

He was arrested later Friday morning by the Monroe County Sheriff's Department and Wisconsin State Patrol as he was traveling on I-94 near Tomah, according to the release.

Witness said there had been some kind of altercation between the victims and the suspect before the shooting, police said.

The names of the deceased have not been released, pending notification of family.
