West Allis police asked the public for help Tuesday in their search for a driver who followed a girl walking in the area of W. Washington and S. 95th streets.

The incident happened Thursday afternoon but was not reported to West Allis police until Monday.

The driver, a white man in his 30s or 40s with a brown, full, fluffy beard, drove slowly behind the girl and honked the vehicle's horn before stopping and getting out, police said.

The girl then ran away from the man, who police describe as thin, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall with short brown/gray hair, and wearing a white T-shirt, puffy vest, blue jeans and black tennis shoes.

The man was the only person in the car, described as a light silver, four-door vehicle with round headlights, tinted windows and one or two baseball caps in the back window, police said.

Anyone with information about the man or the vehicle should contact the West Allis Police Department at (414) 302-8000.
