Wisconsin family delivers White House Christmas tree

One specialty crop is now on display at the White House.  A 19-foot Balsam fir Christmas tree arrived at the White House on a horse drawn wagon Monday.

The official White House Christmas tree was grown at Silent Night Evergreens near Endeavor, Wisconsin and presented to First Lady Melania Trump by growers Jim and Diane Chapman.

The National Christmas Tree Association has presented the White House tree for the last 52 years.  This is the third time a tree from the Chapman’s farm has been selected for the White House.  The family also won the honor in 1998 and 2003.  Chapman’s parents had also won the honor.

The National Christmas Tree Association represents more than 4-thousand farms in 29 states.
