Two-vehicle crash at Interstate 75 ramp in North Naples injures driver seriously

A Naples man suffered serious injuries early Saturday in a two-vehicle crash on Immokalee Road in North Naples, officials said.

Lazaro Yumar, 45, of Naples, was driving a 2006 Suzuki motorcycle west on Immokalee Road shortly after 5 a.m., according to a release from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Yumar was preparing to turn left onto the entrance ramp to Interstate 75 for southbound traffic when Christian Ramon, 24, of Naples, driving east on Immokalee Road in a 2007 Jeep approached the entrance for southbound traffic.

Yumar was taken to Naples Community Hospital. Ramon sustained minor injuries, according to the report.

Authorities asked that anyone who has information about the crash call the Florida Highway Patrol at 239-344-1730.
