Dairy markets down at week’s end

 

Dairy markets finished the week down on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

The Class III milk futures continued their decline, with November down $.01 to $16.79.  December was down $.19 at $15.27.  January was down $.21 to $14.54.  February was down $.27 to $14.48

Grade AA Butter closed down $.0275 at $2.215.  Three carloads were sold, with one topping at $2.21.

Barrels were down $.03 settling at $1.6275.  Five carloads of barrels were sold with one selling at $1.6525.

40-pound blocks were down $.06 at $1.62 at Friday.  One carload of blocks was sold at $1.64.

Nonfat dry milk closed down $.02 to end the week at $.7250 per pound.  No sales were recorded.
