Ethanol production hits two month high

U.S. ethanol production last week hit a two month high.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration says production averaged 1.057 million barrels a day, up 1,000 from the previous week and the highest since the first week in September. Cash corn prices have trended mostly lower recently and there’s plenty of corn available, helping processing margins. The relatively high levels of production continue despite uncertainties about potential changes to the RFS.

Consumer and export demand are good and stocks declined 129,000 barrels on the week.
