A man told police he was driving south near the 600 block of 10th Street North about 3:30 p.m. when he stopped behind a black Honda Accord. The Accord was stopped in the road for "an extended period of time," and traffic started backing up behind it, the report states.

The man told police he honked his horn and tried to drive around the Accord, but the driver moved the car and tried to keep the other vehicle from passing, according to the report.

The Honda driver, later identified as Dekevich, pointed a black firearm at the man, the report states.

The man put his vehicle in reverse to try to drive away, but he told police that Dekevich also reversed his car to trap the other vehicle, according to the report.

After the man drove away, he found a crime scene investigator in her marked police van at Sixth Avenue North and 10th Street and told her what happened.

The investigator notified Naples dispatch of the incident, and police pulled an Accord over near Ninth Street North and Golden Gate Parkway, the report states.

The man identified Dekevich as the person who pointed the gun at him, police said, and told investigators his passenger tried to get Dekevich to lower the gun during the incident. Investigators found a firearm in the glove box of Dekevich's car, the report states.

In an interview with police, Dekevich said he was stopped on the road because he was waiting for his passenger to get in the car. Dekevich said he raised his arms at the driver who honked at him, but he denied taking the gun from the glove box or pointing it at the other man, the report states.
