Packers CB Kevin King questionable for Lions game with back injury

GREEN BAY - The Green Bay Packers might not be as set in the secondary as they thought against the Detroit Lions on Monday night.

Rookie cornerback Kevin King was added to the injury report Sunday with a back injury. He is listed as questionable.

The Packers held their final practice of the week Sunday and it's likely the injury occurred or worsened then. King had not been on the injury report all this week and was a full participant in all three practices.

The return of safety Morgan Burnett from a hamstring injury was expected to restore the secondary to full strength at the key positions, but King's absence would cause some shuffling again.

Either Damarious Randall or Josh Hawkins probably would replace King in the starting lineup if the rookie can't play. Randall likely would move into the slot in the nickel defense regardless of which player starts.

The Packers brought up rookie Donatello Brown from the practice squad after safety Kentrell Brice (ankle) was put on injured reserve. Brown would be available to help if the Packers feel they need him for backup help.

King's status for the game probably won't be known until Monday.
