Fantasy sizzlers, fizzlers: Will Fuller finding the end zone regularly
These players saw their fantasy values increase or decrease most based on their performances in Week 8:
Sizzlers
WR Will Fuller, Houston Texans: Fuller has made the leap to starting fantasy wideout with his third multiple touchdown game of the season. Fuller has played in only four games this season, and not one team has kept him out of the end zone yet.
WR Jamison Crowder, Washington Redskins: Some gave up on Crowder, but against the Dallas Cowboys he was the focal point for Kirk Cousins and was wide open for good chunks of the game. He caught nine balls for 123 yards and is back in the mix among the Washington receiving group.
TE Jack Doyle, Indianapolis Colts: Doyle erupted with 12 catches for 121 yards and a touchdown, primarily because the Cincinnati Bengals tried so hard to take away wideout T.Y. Hilton. Expect more teams to focus on Hilton, opening Doyle up for more big games ahead.
RB Alex Collins, Baltimore Ravens: He has yet to score a touchdown, but he continues to produce well with a rising number of carries. Perhaps most telling about his future use were his two receptions for 30 yards, his first two targets of the season.
WR Robby Anderson, New York Jets: Anderson continues to be more involved in the Jets’ passing game, exploding for 104 yards and a score against Atlanta. That is three consecutive weeks now where his fantasy score has been higher than the week before.
Fizzlers
TE Jordan Reed, Redskins: After he had his first big game of the season, Reed left early in the game against Dallas with a hamstring injury. Vernon Davis makes a strong pickup this week as he has looked good when given the opportunity.
WR Pierre Garcon, San Francisco 49ers: Garcon has been a steady fantasy producer but a few red flags have appeared. First, he left the game at Philadelphia with a neck injury after securing just two catches. Second, consistency at quarterback is going to be an issue until new acquisition Jimmy Garoppolo is ready to run the offense.
RB Wendell Smallwood, Philadelphia Eagles: Fantasy owners have eagerly waited for Smallwood to return from a knee injury. But after playing only 13 snaps Oct. 29 and the trade deadline acquisition of Jay Ajayi from Miami, there just doesn't seem to be much room in the offense for him.
RB Carlos Hyde, 49ers: It has become harder to trust Hyde on a weekly basis due to the way the 49ers use him. When they get behind on the scoreboard, they move away from Hyde as a contributor.
