Zoeva Opulence Palette Blooming Bouquet

The Zoeva Opulence Palette inspired by still life paintings has something about the old Illamasqua to it, I think – it’s got a Victorian gothic meets midnight garden vibe to it which makes it complete eye candy! I love it. Inside, it’s just as enticing.

It’s not a sunset palette exactly but there are elements with the burned red shade and golden sandy colours. I’ll run through the shade names starting with the top row first colour and looping all the way around to the bottom row first colour: High Chair, Society Figures, Get Your Glory, Imperial, Koh-I-Noor, Golden Years, The Only Delight, Queen For A Day, Sense of Movement and Industrial Fortune. With the exception of High Chair, Get Your Glory and Golden Years, all the shades are light hit sheens.

I would wear all of these colours very gladly and I love the inclusion of that very vibrant blue which is a perfect partner to Imperial, a coppery shade that sits right next to the blue in the palette. The pigment is smooth and glides on easily – Get Your Glory takes a bit more blending – most mattes do to be honest, especially if they’ve got a lot of pigment to them but on the whole I found the palette really easy to use and I’m keeping it! At £18 I think it’s exceptional and actually gives a bit of perspective to how much cardboard casing palettes should actually cost (yes, I’m looking at you, Huda!).

 

There’s also a face palette for cheeks and high points with a highlighter, bronzer and blush. The highlight is a champagne shade, the bronzer is mid-toned and matte and the blush, also matte is a kind of dark raspberry – absolutely gorgeous and quite unusual. This is £13.
