Time to Register for Hilton’s 4th Quarter Promotion

At the end of last month I wrote about Hilton’s 4th quarter promotion (“From a Lump of Coal Up to Quadruple Points“).

The offer is “More Nights, More Points” — staying a single night gets no bonus at all, two nights is double points, three is triple, and four night stays or longer receive quadruple points.

There are hundreds of non-participating hotels but since it’s under 350 that’s fewer than we’ve seen in the past with many Hilton promotions.

Even if you’re not focusing on Hilton after their March 28 devaluation, it’s still a good idea to register for the promotion — it takes just a moment and then you don’t need to remember to do it later if you happen to have an unplanned or unexpected Hilton stay.

And while Hilton no longer provides the outsized redemption value it once did, Hyatts and Starwoods aren’t everywhere. They have an easily attainable status which is their best (on an opportunity cost basis). So winding up at a Hilton does very much still happen, as it did to me last month.

  1. The Hilton devaluation was truly awful. However, SPG & Hyatt are not every where, and Hilton has one of the largest number of global locations. Their Gold status offering free breakfast & internet and Executive floor upgrades based on availability still make it a viable option. I’ve found my best experiences at Hilton to be at their international locations where Executive lounges offer free drinks in the evening. It is always nice to enjoy a glass of Sekt in Germany after a long day.

  2. Heads up — the link to the promo sign up page doesn’t appear to be working. Thanks for everything you do!
